Elephant Blocks Trucks To Steal Bundles Of Sugar Cane From Them

The child, surnamed Auan-tia by a park ranger, left the forest and blocked the road as if it were his "police checkpoint".

The wild elephant happily took agricultural products from the trailers that were completely stacked in the Chachoengsao Wildlife Sanctuary, in Thailand, yesterday (8 January).

The giant Auan-tia spent several minutes searching for each truck of convoys traveling from a local farm.

After poking his nose into a vehicle, he took out some food before keeping the next truck in line and doing the same.

His lunch consisted of sugar cane and cassava.

Khun Angluenai, a government wildlife officer who captured the video, said, "The elephant was checking every passing car." I think he thought he was a police inspector.
